Go NYC 1.3.0: More Reliable Arrival & Departure Times
This release is all about trust. When you check a departure time in Go NYC, it needs to be right. In 1.3.0 we've made significant improvements to the reliability and accuracy of arrival and departure data across the board. We've put a lot of work into the underlying data layer, and we're not done yet. More improvements are on the way.
We also shipped a round of smaller bug fixes and performance improvements behind the scenes.
Your feedback drives this
Real-time data accuracy is one of the areas our users care about most and we feel the same way. If you spot anything off, we want to hear about it. Every report helps us track down edge cases and make the app more dependable for everyone.
Coming soon: NJ Transit
We're in the final stretch. Very soon, Go NYC will support full trip planning to and from New Jersey including real-time NJ Transit arrival and departure times. Whether you're commuting across the Hudson or catching a regional rail, we've got you covered.
Stay tuned.
Go NYC 1.2.0: Touch Planner, Offline Maps, and Smarter Search
Version 1.2.0 brings one of our biggest feature additions yet plus a handful of improvements that make everyday navigation feel a little more effortless.
Touch Planner is the headline: a completely new way to build your trip directly in the app. Tap station tiles, drag to reorder, add images and get out the door faster than ever.
Offline riders on NJ Transit will notice something new under Explore: downloadable maps that work without a signal, so a dead zone doesn't derail your commute.
Search got smarter too. Addresses now surface first with cleaner grouping, so you spend less time scrolling and more time moving. And the Schedules section has gone fully native — a smoother list that loads faster and scrolls without a hitch.
Under the hood, we've also shipped a round of smaller fixes and performance improvements to keep things running tight.
What we're working on
We're currently integrating real-time NJ Transit arrival and departure information so you'll soon know exactly when your train or bus is pulling in, live. We're also continuing to squash bugs reported by our users and pushing further performance improvements across the app.
And stay tuned: we're putting the finishing touches on a Rewards feature. Earn discounts and vouchers through actions in the app and get recognized for green travel choices because your commute can do more than just get you there.
